GMRS Reviews

FRS Radio Reviews

While you can't test each FRS radio brand and model to see how they perform under typical conditions, our reviews provide the results of our hands-on tests of the features you want and need.  We offer our opinions of which radios really deliver and which ones offer only basic services.  We test the 2-mile maximum ranges that typically are advertised to see if their claims are true.

Motorola T-6320

Range (miles)

Criteria:  Flat land sending and receiving, suburb setting.

Clear

Faint/Static yet usable

Signals lost

Clarity

These radios are super clear and the volume control seems like it never ends (Very Loud) Radios are clear all the way to the drop out point (Superb Range)

Features

These radios are loaded with a compass, barometer, altimeter, stopwatch, clock, temperature… just about every feature you can imagine.

Ergonomics

Ease of use, and general feel

Having the talk button in front is a little confusing but works well.  Menu structure also works well but given all the features of these radios does take sometime to learn.

Quality

These radios are well built and have survived being dropped numerous times excellent construction!

Overall Impressions

Radios outperform my kenwoods and unidens and audiovox’s by at least 20% range and clarity is exceptional! A++++
