| Clarity |
Good sounds with
about 8 levels of volume. Range is from very soft to quite
loud. Especially good when you want a quiet radio with good talk
clarity. |
| Features |
Packed with
features. Includes earbud headphones (with volume control on
wire), however headphones are of meager quality producing sound defining
the word "tinny". The speaker on the radio is much better
though. Has FM radio which works excellent and includes 8 channel
memory banks, though actually using them proves more difficult. Scan
feature is not as fast as others but works fine. Can monitor 2
channels. |
| Ergonomics
Ease of use, and general feel |
Case feels solid
if not a tad small for larger hands. Button features are logical,
but you definitely want to read the manual to understand all
options. Fold down antenna is very convenient. Talk button
has nice tactile click so you know if you are pushing hard enough. |
| Quality |
Case and
electronics appear of a quality nature. Well designed and put
together. Battery compartment makes for tight battery insertion
though. |
| Overall Impressions |
Solid state radio
overflowing with features, buttons are convenient, well-though through
design, small size, poor headphones, great volume range. |
